Notes
The building’s design is largely inspired by Mondrian’s art aesthetics and composition.

Volumetrically, the design juxtaposes volumes on one another; two volumes rise in parallel and overlap with a third thinner volume that slightly towers over them. Another volume, slightly slanting, rises to about half the height of the others’ as it intersects them perpendicularly.

In the same vein, openings on the façade as well as protruding balconies display a Mondrian-inspired composition. The architect also states that the pattern used is an homage to the narrow old streets of Baghdad.
